Sustainability course ”Furnishing for the Future”
EFG’s sustainability course ”Furnishing for the Future” was co-organised 19th of October with SIO/Ornamo and SI. The course offered all interested architects, designers and specifiers an in-depth understanding of current and future sustainability challenges within the furniture industry. With a focus on identifying the most environmentally friendly furniture options, participants will learn about material selection, CO2 footprint measurement through EPD, and environmental certifications. The course also covers current and upcoming environmental requirements for public procurement, supply chains, and testing standards. Additionally, participants gained an understanding of important global sustainability topics such as circular economy, and life cycle analysis.
