Design connects art and culture, technology and business in our daily surroundings, which we all want to take good care of. Good design is both functional and pleasing to sense but also sustainable, standing the test of time.

During this half-day virtual seminar we hear multiple short lectures and stories about the way Finnish university education, design makers, cultural players and design intensive companies have solved these design issues.

The speakers will open more about their perspective on what possibilities they have discovered when building a more inspiring future – in technology and construction, production methods and materials, architecture and public spaces, everyday products and services – to share the movement towards more sustainable lifestyles, societies and the globe.

The happening is aiming to raise cultural connections, discussion and collaboration between design students, designers and design intensive companies, but also everyone who is interested in these issues both in Finland and in the U.S.

The seminar will be held in English. Warmly welcome! The happening is free if you register before 5th of April.

Come with us!
